Visit to Elena and Her Children - Mets Masrik - 4/30/19

This is the second of the three families our group visited. This time we visited a single mother, Elena, who works at a bakery shop for a small amount, working night shifts to earn for the daily bread. Her husband, a long time alcoholic, after the last argument, left the family, and before leaving for Russia, he sold their only source of income, their cow.

Our visit was a real surprise for Elena because first of all we took them a cow, which is pregnant and delivers 15 liters of milk a day. This will the source of her daily income. Besides the cow, we had a refrigerator, an automatic washing machine, an electric oven, an electric kettle, clothes and shoes for children and mom. The food we took them will last them for at least a year. Despite their poverty, the children were extremely clean, and were doing homework with our team entered their home.

Elena did not know what to say, she was very happy, she said that she would have enough dairy products for her family and more to sell to make income. She was happy because she won't have to think about how to feed her children, how to buy them clothes, etc. Now, she can even start saving money, because the food we took them will last them a year, if not more.

Elena said that she could save some money for her children's future.

We were all happy as well <3 Thank you for trusting us, thank you for supporting our missions. God bless you.
